Rebecca is a freelance writer and editor currently studying at SFU in Vancouver, BC. Rebecca’s interest in birthdays emerged after she witnessed the diversity and cultural differences between North American birthdays and European birthdays, having lived an equal portion of her life in both parts of the world. She primarily has an affinity for planning birthdays and most other events; other areas of interest for the student include cooking and baking, fitness, hair and makeup, business and management, DIY projects, and crafts.
In her spare time, you can find her either reading, training towards a half-marathon, or at a live show. Most recently, Rebecca was the project manager of a team of SFU students and raised $700 towards prostate cancer and men’s health by beating [Jimmy Fallon’s] world record of the most balloons popped in the world—for the record, they were birthday balloons.
